Elizabeth M. Brownell

Elizabeth M. Brownell

Elizabeth M. Brownell was known in Little Compton as Betty Brownell, proprietor of “Betty Brownell Gift Shop”. She was also busy in doing home decorating. As a member of the United Congregational Church, Betty was very active with the Ladies’ Aid Society. She was a member of the Little Compton Republican Women’s Club and was known as a bridge player and instructor. Betty was a great supporter of the library. Her home on Willow Avenue that she kept in great condition was her pride and joy.
