Celebrate the launch and paddle of a mishoon (Wampanoag dugout canoe) at Sakonnet for the first time in over 200 years. The mishoon is the result of an artist’s residency with Jonathan James-Perry, Aquinnah Wampanoag artisan, and the first major event of the Sakonnet History Project.
