Per Diem Docent – Always Open
Share your love of local history with the public by providing guided tours of the Wilbor House Museum and the Historical Society’s other exhibit offerings.
Program Manager – 32 Hours Per Week – Applications accepted through November 21
The Program Manager performs key duties related to the Little Compton Historical Society’s public offerings with careful attention to detail. These duties include but are not limited to:
- Planning/managing/presenting/marketing all public programs and events with support from the Executive Director;
- Recruiting, training, scheduling, and supervising per diem program staff and volunteers;
- Collections care and management under the supervision of the Collections Manager (4 to 8 hours per week),
- Assisting the Executive Director with special projects and events.
- At all times, the Program Manager works in a professional, proactive, and friendly manner that helps build positive relationships with visitors and community members. The position requires occasional evenings and weekends. Work at major weekend events, including but not limited to Opening Weekend, the Winter Exhibit Opening, and Cider Social is mandatory.
Administrative Manager – 16 Hours Per Week – Applications accepted through November 21
The Administrative Manager performs key duties related to the Little Compton Historical Society’s daily operations with careful attention to detail. These duties include but are not limited to managing all business, financial, and administrative tasks with support from the accountant, Treasurer and Executive Director; assisting with program mailings, registration, and record keeping; and assisting the Executive Director with special projects including special events and fundraising campaigns.
At all times, the Administrative Manager works in a professional, proactive, and friendly manner that helps build positive relationships with visitors and community members. The position requires occasional nights and weekends. Work at major weekend events, including but not limited to Opening Weekend, the Winter Exhibit Opening, and Cider Social is mandatory.
