Saturdays this season at LCHS come with an added bonus — an opportunity to try your hand at some of the historic handicrafts that residents used to make the most of their farming—or to make extra money on the side. These will be offered in front of the 19th-century barn at 10am-11am on the following dates:
- July 10: Butter Churning
- July 17: Create a Bamboo Fishing Pole
- July 24: Assembling & Painting A Birdhouse
- July 31: Flower Pressing
- August 7: Leather and Metal Jewelry-Making
- August 14: Rope-Making
- August 21: Candle Dipping
- August 28: Hand-threshing and Winnowing Grain
